
Amy Lays
Amy Lays has dedicated her career to supporting children, youth and adults with autism and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. Amy holds a Master’s degree with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis with provincial and internation certifcations in behaviour analysis (BCBA, IBAO, RBA(Ont). She also has a certificate in Habilitative Mental Health from the International Certificate Programme in Dual Diagnosis and has completed trainings in person-centred approaches, design centred thinking and and has attended numerous workshops and conferences related to developmental disabilities and autism.

Experience
Over the past 20 years, Amy has worked in and provided support to parents/caregivers, individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, community agencies, day camps, and group homes. She continues to collaborate with professionals and places each person in the centre of all planning to create meaningful change in the lives of people supported. Throughout her career, Amy has worked in:
-private homes providing ABA services to children,
-day camps supporting children and youth with additional support needs,
-group home residences supporting adults with developmental disabilities with activities of daily living,
-community support programs implementing social programs for youth and adults,
-case management services for adults with developmental disabilities,
-community agencies to develop best practices and provide compliance support with legislative requirements and,
-community organizations to provide staff training and coaching to implement behavior change programs.
